Stand alone no computer needed! Tells you what to do right on the screen! It has been in storage for a while so I opened it up and tested all the functions. I made a dvd backup of photos from my camera memory card and I made a short video on DVD from my phono plug output camcorder.

This is truly a great unit and easy to use. You just put a blank dvd in the tray and the unit tells you what to do.

Once you are done and you want to eject the dvd the unit will ask you if you want to " finalize" the dvd so that it will play on all other dvd players. Leaves no change to make a mistake. Does have some wear on the box from storage but not much at all. My regular customers know before I sell anything I test it thoroughly and test all functions. Items are what I say they are.
